At Calvert, we dedicate ourselves to inspiring students to realize their full potential in a 21st century learning environment using a proven curriculum, expert support, and instructional support systems designed to encourage academic excellence. Calvert provides support and tools to ensure the quality and productivity of teachers and instructional guides. We seek to make a Calvert experience available in every community through the students’ public or private option of choice.
At Calvert Partners, we recognize the hard work educators do to find solutions for the academic, social, and geographic challenges faced by students. Our distance learning program allows schools to offer new choices to families seeking an alternative to existing programs.
For over one hundred years, Calvert has helped guide our students toward excellence and achievement through an integrated, classical curriculum developed by expert curriculum staff and proven in the Calvert Day School.
The Calvert program is built on a rich foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic. That foundation is then layered with history, science, music, geography, and the arts to ensure no gaps in instruction. In a time when reading and mathematics seem to be the focus, often at the expense of other subjects, this point is significant. Reading and writing strategies are applied, reinforced, and enriched in the other content areas. This reinforced study across subject areas develops higher order thinking skills, promotes content mastery, and helps to develop the whole child.
